I am installing a Hunter ceiling fan in my barn/garage. The ceiling is open so hanging the fan will be easy. There is an electrical outlet for a garage door opener and there is also a light (middle of 3 on the ceiling) which is switched by the door. Is there an benefit as to which outlet I connect the fan too? Then, the fan has 4 wires...black, white, green, and black and white stripe. What will be the proper connection to the wires from the electrical outlet.
