Glenn in Sumter, South Carolina: Main Panel for a Steel Building
I am building a steel building and I would like to mount the meter with the main cut out breaker box outside and detached from the building, about a foot from it. I was planning to make a concrete pad, install Unistrut to mount the box to. I want to bring in a buried service up through the pad into the box. I would then like to run conduit from the cutout box into the steel building to the main breaker panel. I have the 2016 NEC, but cannot find this installation example in there. How can I do this and meet with code?
